The Best Ways To Farm Sugar Bombs
What Sugar Bombs Are Used For
Sugar Bombs were a popular breakfast cereal before the bombs fell. Even after the great war decimated North America, there are those out there who still enjoy tucking into a box of this tasty treat. In the world of Fallout 76, Sugar Bombs can still be found dotted around the ruins of post-war Appalachia.

Not only that, but there is even a way to passively produce some Sugar Bombs to help those who want to get their hands on large quantities of this delicacy from the past. This guide will go through all there is to know about farming Sugar Bombs, and what they are used for.
Sugar Bomb Locations
There are plenty of locations around the map that reliably spawn in boxes of Sugar Bombs. However, if you are playing on a public server, then there's no guarantee that you'll find Sugar Bombs, as other players can also come by and pick up any Sugar Bombs that are lying around. To prevent this from happening, you'll need to have a Fallout 1st Membership in order to have access to a private server. Once you have cleared out the various Sugar Bomb spawn locations, it is possible to reset the server to forcibly respawn all the Sugar Bombs.
As for the various Sugar Bombs spawn points, they can be seen below:
- Beckley: Inside The Kitchen In Sal's Grinder. Up to two boxes
- Cobbleton Farm: Around The Garden Area. Up to four boxes
- Flatwoods: 1-3 In The Church's Steeple. One On Top Of The Red Rocket Station
- Mosstown: Inside A House To The West Of Mosstown. Up to six boxes
- Pleasant Hills Cemetery: Inside The Mausoleum. One box
- Red Rocket (Morgantown): On The Shelves Inside The Store. One box
- Red Rocket (Giant Teapot) On The Shelves Inside The Store. One box
- Sons Of Dane Compound: To The Left Of The Armor Workbench Outside The Hall: One box
- New River Gorge Bridge: The West Side Of The Bridge, Behind The Locked Door. Up to five boxes
- Morgantown: In The Kitchen Of The Eta Psi House: Up to three boxes
Not only can you find Sugar Bombs at the locations mentioned above, but there are a fair few vendors that have the chance to have some Sugar Bombs in their inventory. The list of vendors that can sell Sugar Bombs can be seen below:
- ATHENA
- Carver Timmerman (Blue Ridge Caravan Company)
- Eugenie (Blue Ridge Caravan Company)
- Rudy Fernandez (Blue Ridge Caravan Company)
- Dutchess (The Wayward)
- Emerson Hale (Wandering Vendor)
- Marie (Whitespring Resort)
- Molly (the Crater)
- Grahm (Wandering Vendor)
- Sunny (Foundation)
- Vendor bot Wallace (Berkeley Springs Station)
- Watoga Vendor Bot (Watoga Station)
- Whitespring Bar Bot (Whitespring Resort)
- All Responder Vendor Bots
- All Raider Vendor Bots
- C.A.M.P. Allies: Beckett, Daphne, And Xerxo
There's also a chance to find Sugar Bombs inside various limited-time event bags like Holiday Gifts, Spooky Treat Bags, and Mole Miner Pails. Players may also stumble across some Sugar Bombs as random spawns inside containers like coolers and refrigerators.
The Best Ways To Farm Sugar Bombs
Going around the map and looking for Sugar Bomb spawns can be a rather time-consuming experience. Thankfully, there are some things that players can do to farm Sugar Bombs passively.
The best way to farm Sugar Bombs is to use the certain C.A.M.P. Collectrons. There are a few C.A.M.P. collectrons that have the chance to gather Sugar Bombs. Collectors like the Fasnacht Collectron, Santatron, and the Scoutmaster Collectron Station all have the chance to collect Sugar Bombs. This is because they gather pre-war food items.
While players can only place one collectron at their C.A.M.P., they can also place one down at any workshop that they take over. So, if you head out and take over a handful of workshops on any given server, then you can place down multiple Fasnacht Collectron Stations which will passively produce Sugar Bombs while you play.
For some extra Sugar Bombs, you can take over the Sunshine Meadows Industrial Farm. This farm has its own food packaging factory that can produce various pre-war food items over time. This includes Sugar Bombs.
What Sugar Bombs Are Used For
Sugar Bombs are a key ingredient required to make a handful of in-game recipes. Each recipe that requires some Sugar Bombs can be seen in the table below:
Item | Effects | Ingredients |
Sweet Roll | 2 Rads. 90HP. 300 AP. 3 CHR. 20% Food | Purified Water x2. Spices x2. Sugar x3. Sugar Bombs x3. Wood x1 |
Granny's Tea | 2 Rads. 40HP. 25% Water | Boiled Water x3. Cranberries x3. Soot Flower x3. Sugar Bombs x1. Wood x2 |
Sunshine Oil | 5 Rads. 15 DMG Resist. 400 AP | Blight x3. Glowing Blood x1. Sugar Bombs x1. Wood x1 |
Brain Bombs | 5 Rads. 90HP. 300 AP. 3 INT. 25% Food | Purified Water x2. Brain Fungus x3. Mothman Egg x2. Brain Bombs x3. Wood x1 |
Out of the items listed above, the best one by far is Brain Bombs. This tasty little treat gives the player a pretty large boost to their intelligence. If the player is using the Herbivore mutation, then they will receive a +6 to their intelligence instead of the standard +3. Each point in intelligence directly impacts the amount of XP earned by the player.
For those who want to maximize the amount of XP they earn, crafting some Brain Bombs is a great way to level up faster than normal. For those wanting to get their hands on some Brain Bombs, it is possible to purchase them from Yasmin Chowdhury. She is one of the game's many C.A.M.P. allies. She can be purchased from Samuel over at Foundation once you have reached the level of ally with the Settlers.
If you combine Brain Bombs with items like Lunchboxes, Leader Bobbleheads, and a full set of Unyielding Armor, then you can level up considerably faster than normal. Also, every couple of months, Fallout 76 has double XP weekends. If you save up as many XP boosts as possible for double XP weekends, then you can level up several times per hour. Since Brain Bombs never go bad, it is the perfect item to have for gaining some extra XP.
