Logan was believed to be driving the vehicle that police just located — a gray 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe with North Dakota plates 628 DZR. Police previously posted an alert for the vehicle, noting the car was seen speeding away from the scene after the shooting.

Emergency personnel responded to shooting reports at The Arbors at McCormick Park just after 8 p.m. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital where he later died, according to a release from the Fargo Police Department.

Police advised the public not to approach or attempt to apprehend Logan. Anyone who encounters or has seen him is encouraged to call 911 and share relevant information with details such as the location he was last seen, his last known direction of travel, a description of the clothing he was wearing and information about anyone who may be with him.

The release asked those with information on the whereabouts of Logan or his vehicle to call the Red River Regional Dispatch Center's non-emergency line at 701-451-7660 and ask to speak with a shift commander or text a tip with keyword FARGOPD to 847411.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
